Recovery

Your Safe does not depend on this website.

Connecting Phantom gives you an Aptos account derived from your own Solana key. You own it; we never can. If yieldai.app stops loading tomorrow, the money is still yours and still reachable — this page explains exactly how.

What you actually got

Connecting Phantom created an account only you control.

Yield AI does not ask Solana users to install an Aptos wallet. Instead it computes an Aptos account out of two ingredients: your Solana public key and the name of the site you connected from, yieldai.app. Aptos supports this natively — it is a standard feature of the chain, not something we invented.

That account has no private key of its own. The only thing that can authorize it is a signature from your Solana wallet, which never leaves your device. We cannot sign for it, cannot freeze it, and hold nothing that would let us try.

Your Safe sits inside that account. Which is why the first and most important sentence on this page is: there is no account to lose with us, because there was never an account with us.

The domain

The domain is part of the address, not a connection to us.

The part that surprises people: our website’s name goes into the calculation. Written down it looks like a dependency — as if the address needs the site to exist. It does not. The name is an ingredient that was mixed in once, the way flour is in bread. Nothing checks it afterwards.

The same Solana key produces a different Aptos account on each site.

Real values for one example Solana key. Change a single character of the site name and the result is an unrelated account.

  • This is why we can never move to another domain

Your Safe belongs to the account derived from yieldai.app. Serving the app from a different name would hand every Solana user a different, empty account. So the domain is permanent infrastructure for us, not branding: registered long, auto-renewing and locked.

  • And this is why a withdrawal needs no website

The Aptos function that authorizes your account receives a signature and the account’s identity. It has no notion of a website and no way to look one up — a blockchain cannot visit a URL. A valid signature from your Solana key is valid whether it was produced on our site, on a copy of it, or by a script on your own laptop.

If the site is down

Three ways in, easiest first.

Almost everyone only ever needs the first one. The other two exist so the first one is never load-bearing.

  1. 01

    Use the site

Whenever yieldai.app loads: open it, connect Phantom, withdraw. That is the whole procedure, and nothing further down this page is needed. Gas is sponsored, as usual.

  2. 02

Run the app yourself, at the same name

The interface is ordinary web code. Run a copy on your own machine and point yieldai.app at it with one line in your computer’s hosts file. Your browser is then genuinely on yieldai.app, your wallet sees the domain it expects, and the same Safe appears with the same balances. You may need to trust a local certificate to get there.

  3. 03

Sign offline with the recovery script

No website, no DNS, no browser. The script derives your Aptos address from your Solana public key, lists your Safes and what each one holds, and tells you whether a plain withdraw is enough. Adding the secret key lets it build, sign and send a withdraw straight to your own wallet — it prints the plan and stops until you confirm.

    pnpm recover:safe -- --solana <your-base58-public-key>

Looking needs only your public key, which is not a secret. Moving money needs the private key, which is why this route is last rather than first.

None of this is ours to withhold

Deriving the address and signing the transaction are standard Aptos, done with the chain's official SDK. The script is a convenience wrapper around steps anyone can reproduce from public documentation. If you want a copy of it, write to info@yieldai.app — the one thing we will never ask you for in reply is a key.

Before you move funds

Three things worth knowing first.

None of them block a recovery. All of them are easier to read now than to discover halfway through one.

  • A recovery transaction pays its own gas

Inside the app we sponsor the network fee, so you never see it. That sponsorship lives in the app and does not follow you outside it. A withdraw signed by the script pays for itself, so the account needs a small amount of APT — the script prints the balance and says plainly when it is short.

  • Money that is working has to come back first

A plain withdraw moves what is sitting in the Safe itself. Anything an agent has put to work inside Echelon or Hyperion has to be pulled out of that protocol before a withdraw can reach it. The script lists those positions rather than showing you an empty-looking Safe. The order is: exit the protocol, pause the Safe, then move the funds to your wallet.

  • Exporting a private key is a real risk

It is the reason the script is the last route and not the first. If you get there, do it on a clean machine, move the funds, and afterwards treat that Solana wallet as no longer private — move what remains to a fresh one.

Security

Never paste a private key into a website.

  • Not into a site that looks like ours

Not into a support chat, a form, a ticket, a document or a direct message either, however convincing the page is and however urgent the reason sounds. A key in a text box is a key you have given away.

  • The script runs on your computer

It reads the key from your own machine, signs locally and sends the signed transaction to an Aptos node. The key itself goes nowhere — not to us, not to any server.

  • If the domain ever changes hands, stop signing on it

A page served at yieldai.app by someone else would still match the domain your wallet checks — that is the one case where our own name works against you. If we ever announce that the domain is gone, sign nothing on it and use the script instead.

Yield AI will never ask you for a private key or a seed phrase. Anyone who does is not us.

Questions

What people ask next.

Can Yield AI move my money?

No. A withdrawal has to be signed by your Solana key, and we do not have it. An agent can only do the narrow things your Safe allows — claim rewards, swap them, deposit them back. Taking money out is reserved for the owner.

What if I lose my Solana key?

Then nothing on this page helps. The Aptos account exists only as a consequence of that key; there is no password reset and no one to appeal to. Back it up exactly as carefully as you back up the Solana wallet itself.

Do I need an Aptos wallet?

No. The derived account is driven entirely by your Solana wallet. You can keep using Phantom and never install anything on the Aptos side.

Does the recovery script need my seed phrase?

No. To look at your Safes it needs only the public key. To withdraw it needs the private key of that one Solana wallet — never a seed phrase, and never through a web page.

Nothing to do today.

This page exists so the question has an answer before anyone needs it. While the site is up, the ordinary withdraw button is the entire story.
